Sythydea was the Holder of the Seed. It was a sacred and somber duty among the Fae and she thought about this honour as she gazed into its depths. It took the shape of a faceted sphere about half the size of her palm. The body of the Seed was the clear crystal of meltwater and ripples of sky-blue caught the light as it turned. Buds bloomed and sunlight danced on the walls of the room. Sythydea stood guard, for without the Seed spring could not come and winter would last ever after.
