A gleaming copper kettle hangs suspended in an ornate shrine built for this purpose. It's large enough for two men to crouch inside but is filled instead with cool clear spring water. A mage heats the metal to a temperature perfected through long practice. Dried tea leaves are tossed inside, a secret blend which the elders have been known to kill to protect. A steeping silence holds the mountain village in sway. Finally, at an elder's nod, the youngest villager approaches with a beautifully decorated cup and the pour begins. This is all the village will do on this sacred day, for the magic needs time to steep too.
